On Hope

When hope comes hard, keep hoping.

Not in circumstances or the changing of weak human hearts
but dig hope down securely anchored in
He who never changes and holds our best interests close to His heart.

Isn't it easy to make it all about waiting on life to change for the better?
"When this certain thing happens, then I will breathe easier", I think to myself.
So, I'm reminding myself that I have freedom to breathe
easy each morning because Christ has already conquered the day.
The Message Bible rolls it out like this, a favorite verse of mine from Isaiah 26:
"People with their minds set on you,
    you keep completely whole,
Steady on their feet,
because they keep at it and don’t quit.
Depend on God and keep at it."
I want to be a
kind of girl, don't you?

Amen! You and I live across the country from each other, but I feel truly inspired, and wish I could sit with you for a cup of coffee and a great dose of wisdom. Blessings!
