Mothering Ideas from the character of God

"The Lord is good and gracious (grace-filled, grace-acting, grace-prompted), slow to anger (not flying off the handle, scolding childishness or belittling, not inciting rebellion with anger), abounding in steadfast (unwavering, not affected by mood swings or emotion) love (selflessness, giving up of ones-self sort-of-love, not an emotional feeling that passes) and faithfulness (persistence in giving us what is good for our character, not giving up or giving in), keeping steadfast (unshakeable, unstoppable)love for thousands...." excerpt from Ex.34:6-7 with my thoughts and study in parenthesis

Wow! I really needed to read that. I especially needed to read your thoughts in parenthesis. It can be easy for me to read a verse and think, "well, I don't do THAT *exactly.* your interpretation is just the things that make me go to bed feeling crummy every night when I reflect on my day. I wasn't gentle, I wasn't loving, I punished childishness, etc. Thanks for the post. I have a long ways to go.
