Tinkering

I know every mama thinks their child is brilliant... but, really, the middle man-child amazed me this morning when he took a broken Thomas train, some wire and a battery and crafted a homemade *working* fan out of it all. How precious is that carefully drawn and cut out cardboard fan blade? Its sweetness melts this mama's heart.

I am thoroughly impressed! It reminds me of my moms friend- when her son was 5, he took apart their vacuum, put it back together, and it worked better than it had before!
Good for Middle Son!

I think he is brilliant too! Isn't it wonderful when kids have time and the stillness in their lives to do something like that? My boys were always building things with old toy motors too. So fun!
