Chase (3) with his chocolate chip cookie bar on the shale beach.

God's glitter. Sun sparkles on the lake.

I remember when these toes were sooo little.

Beautiful lake bottom.

My babes lined up on the shore. Andrew (9) cozied in a wool blanket. He'd been making rafts in the cold lake water and the shale was hot to lie on.

Teething woes comforted by her Papa's love.

Beautiful Annaliese (10).

Andrew fishing.

Loving rewarded with a smirk.

The birthday girl had requested a lake visit for her birthday. The weather was in the 70's and gorgeous! Ella had also requested brownies instead of cake. The Babycakes recipe for gluten free brownie bites are amazing.

How is she already five? I seriously cannot think on my children's ages or I get weepy and sentimental.

Sweet contemplative Aide (6).

Pretty piece of orange glass.

Fabulous reading, fabulous view and fabulous company all cuddled up...

Sounds like a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday!! Those are the by far the most blessed days!
Such a sweet post.
A fun day filled with family and making memories...
Really, there is nothing like it.
You can definitely see her Papa's face in the birthday girl! That looks like a wonderful family outing.
I think I like the photo of you with a baby foot on your chest the best. I can so relate. Happy birthday!
Happy birthday to your little guy! And I love your hat!

Sorry, I just realized I wished happy birthday to your "little guy", instead of your little gal. Oh, goodness.....

Thanks for this post. I get weepy too when I think of my sweet darling's ages. Children are such a blessing and I know that these crazy baby, toddler, young kids days are some of the best of my life. I don't want to lose one second or take one minute for granted.
Love the birthday girls dress.. we have the same one !
They grow up too fast !

Beautiful pictures, beautiful family. Looks like a perfect day!
What delightful photos, but I've got to comment on those gorgeous, edible, kissable thighs in the last photo. Ohhhh, yummy!
Looks like you had a wonderful day x
