Wet doesn't even begin to describe it. Water poured off the field behind us (not ours, I wish), into our yard and waterfalled through the 220 year old stone foundation into our cellar.
Sean came home right away, hooked up the pump, dug a trench away from the house to divert the water, and put in a call to the farmer who owns the field above us.
Oh no! To Quote Ma Ingall's "There's no great loss without some small gain". The gain being the ducks having fun, and hey, you could even bring them inside for a swim;0}

I hope that the damage isn't too awfully bad, and that things can resume as normal soon!

Looks like our backyard and field behind us. :o) Hope that you all stay dry and warm.
Yikes! I'm hoping the same thing doesn't happen at our place when our three feet of snow melts!
