The intense power and spirit and calm that God provides to a woman in labor always amazes me. It has to be a woman's body's finest hour, laboring to bring forth a new creation, and along with the immense relief that comes when it is complete, I always feel a sense of awe and wonder and privilege to have experienced it.

I love how these pictures show how something that is normally a scary, medicated hospital experience can be so cozy and comfortable.

You are definitely making me consider a homebirth for our next child.

There are no words to fully describe the moment of birth. It is the most intensely wonderful experience I believe a woman can ever have. These photos give it the justice and sacredness it deserves. Beautiful, just beautiful.

Hannah, a previous blogger so accurately referred to this moment as sacred, and I couldn't agree more. Thank you SO much for sharing it with us. It is such an honor. I am a mother of four girls, two of which I delivered as I call them supernaturally. I believed God for a quick & painless delivery(I knew I'd had to labor) and God granted my heart's desire. However, you make delivering a cinch :) and you look so beautiful.

I especially love the pictures with Annaliese (I hope I'm spelling her name right). She seems so sweet & her hair looks so beautiful.

And the new babe...she is a doll. You truly are a blessed woman. I don't know if you realize that you are blessing so many by allowing us to have a glimpse into your family & home. Be blessed!

This post is so special. Shows a husband who is so supportive in a culture where men and woman are supposed to stand on their own. It shows such beauty of childbirth
( I delivered my 5th child at home)Even though God punished woman with pain in childbirth he had mercy and blessed it to be also a beautiful experience. I love the picture of your daughter watching and learning so peacefully. Maybe I'll have my daughter watch me next time. As another blogger put it, "these are the most powerful photo's I've seen in my life!"
