Times of Refreshing

Heart full of thanks and praise for the times of refreshment God brings when it seems I need it most.
Our family loves picnics by the lake on warm evenings, with the promise of marshmallows over the coals, rock skipping on the lake,

and exploring.

Treasures abounded this visit, made up of unusual shaped rocks we drew animal faces on, acorn caps for their hats.

Who can resist a squeeze of a little boy in blue jean overalls? Not me.

Books. Right now Sean and I are reading a new book titled Mini Farming on 1/4 an Acre. Every year we try to turn more of our yard into sustainable fruitfulness for our family. We're enjoying learning more on the subject.

The kids swam too. Sean and I made it up to our knees and chickened out. The few days of rain prior had noticeably lowered the lake temperature!

Re-reading an old read - For the Family's Sake...

On the way home is a little shop selling homemade ice cream. Homemade! So good.

"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord." Acts 3:19

We just checked Mini Farming out from our library a few days ago! I haven't looked through it much yet.... you'll have to let me know what parts are best :)

I just finished "Canning & Preserving" by Ashley English. Loved it!

Wonderful photos, Hannah. The kids are just sprouting up like weeds. Can't wait to meet the newest wee one. We're praying for all of you.
