Saturday at the Cabin
From cold requiring a winter coat to heat requiring cool water to wade in, we have had it all this past week. Saturday the sun broke out in smiles and we were happy to have children to wade with us in the creek by our cabin.
Miss Natalie and Chase were hesitant of the sitting in water experience but I think they enjoyed themselves, if not the sun hats which they discarded every three minutes.
Andrew caught a frog and off screen is Ella, wailing her heart out that she did not have a frog to hold. Such big sobs and broken heart. Ella loves wormies and buggies and anything alive and slimy or moving.
Then another discovery was made, so Ella got her turn holding and swimming with Mr. Frog.
A crayfish! Have you heard the Jonathan Park episode on crayfish and crawdads? We highly recommend it!
Much exploring and climbing, lunch back at the cabin, napping and talking and crocheting and sewing with friends makes for a beautiful day. I have to keep reminding myself that it is barely spring!
