One week down

Intent on spending more quality time, FUN time with my children this summer, these short days of summer up north, we took many days of road trips here and there around New York.

Our summer has been a blast. Listening to Jonathan Park and Adventures in Odyssey while we drive down country roads, seeking adventure and sunshine, enjoying new sites and old favorites.

We've survived the summer without much scheduling, except for a nap guarantee for a few. Coming home wind-blown and sun dried with that happy exhaustion from being out of doors and breathing so much good air.

Summer will soon be wrapping up. I see the end just around the corner in the colored leaves we keep finding on our walks. An early Autumn.
We began home school lessons of Monday and had a lovely week. I used MUCH organization in planning out this years lessons. As much as I like to unschool, every single day of lessons is accounted for and ready. Copies made, calendar ready, books aligned, lesson plans written out for each and every day.
With plenty of room to follow rabbit trails as they come.

As a will be homeschooling mom, (when the oldest is "of age"), I would love to hear your homeschool plans since they lean on the side of unschooling and freedom but still planned out.

Your pictures are lovely! I wish I could have gone back to NY this summer. Georgia summers don't compare...

What kind of camera do you use, if you don't mind my asking?
