Picking up heavy sketch books on sale, a pack of watercolor pencils, a box of oil pastels....

continually feeding them a diet of beautiful art of God's creation, in all styles...

Using basic "how to draw" books from the library while at home, as a part of weekly lesson

always, always encouraging whatever they draw,
(this is a pleasure not to be corrected or critiqued)

We draw nature, date it, write a little something, and pull it out later to remember....
This is how we nature journal.

Beginning nature journals with my children has been on my mind. Good timing with your beautiful post! Where have you found good spiral bound sketch books?
This is the absolute best how to on Nature journaling. Simple yet full of great ideas.
Thanks!
Lovely blog Hanna!!
I have been following you for a while but never posted. I think Sean and you are doing a marvelous job rising your family. I must say that I am not a religious person, but we share the same values in live.
Congratulations for every accomplishment you both have made possible with your hard work.
Best wishes from Southern Spain
Julia
That's a great idea. I like the drawing.
this is beautiful, so happy i have stumbled across your blog :)
Tesa, I found the larger sketch books at Big Lots for a few dollars each, the smaller one I purchased at Michael's with a coupon since they are much pricier there.
Thanks, Julie!
Julia, how exciting to live in Spain! I would love to visit there sometime! As involved as we are with our local church, I don't consider ourselves as being very religious. I believe that every person is a spiritual being. I believe we are all created to be in relationship with God, who loves us. So I believe in "relationship" vs. " religion".
Anyway, all this is encouraging me to put up a post on the sidebar in what exactly we believe. :)
Thanks so much for stopping by. Do you have a blog? I'd love to read about life in Spain!
Thanks, Mindy and Andrea for taking time to comment. Enjoy your visit!
Blessings,
Hannah
