Out on a limb...

Feeling a bit brave today and with Sean's encouragement, I whipped up a tasty potato tutorial for you. If you're not into potatoes, surely you'll enjoy the lively circus-like atmosphere!

Here's what you'll need:
3 large potatoes
1/4 cup flour
black pepper

oil or butter for frying

1 pkg. wild caught smoked salmon
1 8 oz. pkg cream cheese
dried dill

How fun! I'm going to try some of the potato patties you made and tell my family about them also. It was fun to actually get to see you! What a great idea to do a video. Is it hard to put it on the blog once you've recorded it?

Your little people are precious. Thanks so much for sharing!

Great job! It was just as nice to see a glimpse of your lovely family as it was to see those tasty looking potatoes! Thanks for sharing!

Looks good! This came at a perfect time because we too are trying to eat more fish. I rarely had fish growing up for various reasons, and as a result I really don't like it. At all. BUT, I don't want my kids to dislike something so healthy because of my dislike, so I am trying out new recipes, and this looks good! I will definitely try this. Thanks for sharing.
P.S. I received the books in the mail. They were better than many books I have purchased at Borders this year. Money well spent. Thanks!

Oh! I was excited to see your video, but a note across the screen it said, "Sorry, this video is no longer available." Did you take it off?

I love the video. I too love looking in cast iron. I only have cast iron and enamel now.

Hannah - thanks so much for sharing this. Seeing how easy it was inspired me to make this for my family last night for dinner (with a few modifications - added chopped onion and 2 eggs to the potato mix). Instead of salmon, I used proscuttio, using what I had in my kitchen. My two girls couldn't get enough! My husband was sceptical as well, but kept getting up to get more.

Thank you so much for sharing the recipe as well as your precious family!

Thanks for the recipe, I'm going to try it for dinner tonight. I love anything with potatoes.

Total different subject but did you know you can switch the handles on your fridge to open on the other side. It might help "flow" better. Have a good day!

It's always amusing to see and hear the person whom I have been reading. I think your voice in my head sounded southern---like me. Now I'll have to alter that. :) But what was I thinking? I knew you were in New England.

Thanks for sharing!
