Wow, I love this girl...

I am so thankful for each of our children and this one is so absolutely fabulous. She's always willing and happy to stir a pot, hold a baby (loves to hold babies!), help un-bury me from laundry, be brave and yell at the rooster (while holding a big broom to swing at him of course), make a delicious bowl of fruit ambrosia, cuddle up with a big book, and dress up any and every willing (and unwilling) participant. I am so thankful God gave us this daughter!

Yes, you truly are blessed! What a reflection of godly parenting...
(she made an awfully cute and excellent flower girl, too!)

What a lovely portrait.

Do you use a special lens to get this lighting/coloring? I wish I knew how to take such beautiful pictures.

The color tones are one of the joys of photoshop. The lighting is just courtesy of placing her next to the window and leaving the flash off. Try it, it'll work with any camera!

Is it a filter in Photoshop?

Also, can I borrow your daughter? I have 2 small boys...

Annie, the pioneer woman (google this) has a photo portion to her blog where she gave away a few sets of photoshop actions.

That is a beautiful photo.

Isn't it wonderful when you feel such a wash of love for a child? My oldest of 5 is a daughter too, and she has always been a hard worker and very competent in whatever she does. Now she has her degree in nursing and is working on an organ transplant unit. I think she gained her work ethic, organizational skills and life skills from being in a home school family of five. She marvels at the basic jobs her friends do not know how to complete.
