What were you doing ten years ago?

Ten years ago we bought our first house and got married! House prices were so low that a mortgage was cheaper than renting. What a blessing that was! I really, really, really, really miss having a mortgage payment of $220 a month. I still can't believe thats how low it was...
I was working as a nurse for a plastic/reconstructive surgeon. It was an interesting job and I learned so much. It also equipped me with endless gross/interesting stories to tell for the rest of my life. Sean was working as a programmer for a big insurance company.

Five things on my to-do list today:

Menu plan and grocery shop for Sean this week. (done)
Go on a date with my sweet husband.
Pack for North Carolina! (halfway done)
Pack for a family field trip tomorrow.
Fold laundry (theres a lot).

Five Snacks I enjoy:

Too many....
Homemade chocolate chip cookies with ghiardelli chips are my favorite. Must have a glass of farm milk with them.
Fresh crisp apples.
Peach oolalong tea.
Juicy watermelon.

Things I would do if I were a millionaire:

Still shop thrift and garage sales.
Invest so I could do the following:
Pay off our mortgage and my parents mortgages.
Hire a gardener.
Take guitar lessons.
Adopt, adopt, adopt.
Go to Germany again.
Enjoy watching Sean do the career of his dreams (pastoring) without having to worry about financially supporting a large family.

Places I have lived.

five little places/towns in upstate NY

Places I have visited:

North Carolina

Jobs I have had:

nurse assistant in a nursing home, babysitter, Headstart school nurse, float nurse in a medical complex, plastics nurse, WIFE and MAMA!

That's all! If you frequent this blog and would like to do this meme, link to yours in the comment section. I can't wait to read yours!

I like your list--your millionaire list especially. Here's mine
I had done it a while ago.

Hi, Hannah! I will be posting mine shortly. I didn't know that Sean wanted to be a pastor! My husband is a pastor, and we have a larger family (just four kids as of now!). It can certainly be very challenging on one income!
I enjoy your blog very much, though I'm not sure I fit the profile of most of your readers. But I love reading about your life in the country (compared to where we live!).

You're going to NC! I'm jealous, all of my family lives there and I'm anxious to see them all again. Hope you have fun and be sure to share some pics of the sights!

Jessica, you look great! Can't wait to see you new little one!
Loved reading your meme. I am very envious of all the European countries you have been to. We still live too far north for Chic Filet (sp?)... MA and the Boston/Cambridge area is one of our favorite areas to visit. We've also vacationed cape cod and West Island.
New Mom, we leave tomorrow bright and early for NC. My grandparents live in New Bern on the outer banks. I'm taking Chase, Kaelin, and Douglas. Sean'll hold down the fort here with the toddlers.

I've enjoyed watching your family grow, and your house be renovated! Love learning what a large looks like :)

Loved your blog lists. It really made me think of what I was doing ten years ago. I made a list also - you can read it at:
I know I don't fit the profile of most of your readers but I enjoy your blog. I still don't know how you have time with all the little ones!
