I ended up buying this simple patten off etsy.com and made view 2 yesterday out of a pale minty green embroidered cotton, perfect for summer and warm weather.

Because I need the waistline to be adjustable, I added onto the existing pattern piece (I wish my waist was 28" after having a baby!) and used a vintage belt piece I picked up at a sale a few years ago.

Now, just four more months...

Just exquisite! This is the part where I covet, so I will slip away quietly now...
How cute, love the belt buckle!
The skirt looks beautiful. Is it very embarassing to admit that I cannot sew? Do you have any good suggestions on how or what to start with?
Thanks, Mrs. Pea,New Mom, and Jeannine!
Do you know anyone who does sew, Jeannine? That is a good place to start. Often times fabric stores will offer sewing classes as well. I don't know how that goes in Germany though. We did visit a beautiful fabric shop in Nurnberg. Next time I'll practice my German phrases more if just to be able to make a purchase there!
Sweet!!! I really love the buckle!!!
