Simple Maternity Sewing How-To

While browsing a favorite second hand store, I noticed a mini shirt with a very stretchy waistband on it. We had just found out we were expecting again, so I grabbed it. It was $1.

I have a favorite skirt pattern that is wonderfully just two pieces and a facing. I cut it out, leaving a little extra" growing" room at the hips and ending the cut at the hips instead of the waist.

Next I cut off the stretchy waistband from the hideous miniskirt and sewed it onto my new brown skirt. The material is a very fine corduroy, so very soft and wonderfully warm for winter.
