Blessings

Can I tell you that I've always thought it would be lovely to have beautiful vintage quilts on my children's beds? Over the years I've collected a few - three to be exact. One is a family heirloom and so its used for decoration only. Another the dog chewed the end of and I haven't taken time to repair it and the third one we use on our library couch. eBay always has beautiful ones listed but I cannot see spending so much money on bedding. So it was just a thought tucked away....

Until this morning when I found these:

Four vintage quilts in pristine condition for $5. Not $5 each.
Five dollars for all of them.

OH... MY... WORD...!!! What a steal! Oh, I am so jealous ;) I too think handmade quilts on beds, especially wooden twin beds are so cozy. One of these days I'll learn to make them myself...

This is so funny:
Last night I dreamed I stumbled upon the yardsale of a lifetime. All kinds of vintage prints, lawn furniture --tons of good finds. This morning when I woke up I thought, "I am definitely going to yardsales this weekend!"
Looks like you hit the one I was only dreaming of!

Now I KNOW I am living in the wrong part of the country or just don't know how to shop!! What beautiful finds! :)

Nanny, I always feel like I am missing out on great sales when I see everyone else's finds. This is seriously the best sale I've ever been to.
And New Mom, to show you the quilts on the boys bunk beds means you'd have to see the turquoise plank floor in there. The previous owners thought it would be "cute" to paint 200 yr old floors turquoise. So if I do post pics, I warned you about the hideous floor...

How could they desecrate wooden plank floors like that!?!

Wow! Those are beautiful. Congrats on an amazing find. I have seen them in antique stores around here, full of holes, and going for about $100 each!! I think you found the deal of a lifetime!
