"There is nothing in the daily routine of the family life that is unimportant. Indeed, it is ofttimes the things we think of as without influence that will be found to have made the deepest impression on the tender lives of the household."
Homemaking by J.R. Miller
I read these words this morning and they have been feeding into my current thoughts on realizing the importance of the small, unassuming events of our day with our children.
One caress across a tired brow, a quick squeeze of our son's shoulder for affirmation, even the simple act of placing a plate of food in front of our hungry children at lunch -these things bear great importance in the lives of our children.
